Nate & Sarah: Engagement Part 2
Nate and Sarah met at Mugwalls in College Station. He spotted her from across the room, and the rest is history! We went back there for the second part of our engagement shoot. I would like to point out the gorgeousness that is her ring, and all of the different amazingly fun furniture! I seriously had a blast with you two and I can't wait for your wedding :-) Less than three weeks!!!

Daystar Grandfriends Day 2011
My dear friend Simone (first picture) who is amazing and feisty--now you're shocked that we're friends right ;-) Anyway, she emailed me a few weeks ago asking if I could come document Grandfriends Day at her son's school. Since I was home schooled through grade school, I had never experienced anything quite like this! Parents and grandparents came to spend the morning with their children, look at their projects, see their classrooms, etc. And I got to capture it all! Seriously, it was so much fun. Here are just a few snapshots from the day :-)
A Practical Wedding Sponsorship

I have some really exciting news for you all today!!! I am officially an A Practical Wedding (APW) sponsor! I cannot begin to tell you how helpful APW has been to me throughout the past year. My dear friend Julia recommended that I start reading it right after we both got engaged, and I have been hooked since. As Meg says, "Somewhere along the line, the blog stopped being about me, and started being a lot of grounded smart-alecky women talking intelligently about their weddings and marriages." So, if you know me at all, you know this describes me to a T! And as far as business goes, these are really exactly the kind of women and men I want to work with! Since you read my blog...this probably describes you too.
So one of the amazing things about APW beyond the community is the commitment to local business vendors who share APW values. As Meg says "This allows you to shop for sane wedding vendors on APW, and put your money towards small businesses that share your values." I was SO nervous when I emailed Meg about becoming a sponsor (I have literally been procrastinating for months), but never fear she emailed me back in a matter of hours! And now my ad is up on the site! My page is listed under the Midwest Photographers, and I have a Sponsored Post coming up on July 22, so keep an eye out!

Jacqui and Simon are Married!
Saturday 6-11-11 Jacqui and Simon were married! This is just a quick sneak peek at their day.
This may be my favorite image from the day. Just after I snapped this, he looked up with tears in his eyes at his wife and she just nodded and smiled. I cannot wait for my love with Wil to grow like this over the years.

Josh and Rachel are Married!!
Josh and Rachel met in college. He liked her, and would go to Starbucks where she worked to see her, but not speak to her. She was oblivious. Not until years later, with him in law school at Georgetown in Washington DC and her in grad school at Vanderbilt in Nashville did they begin to date. They fell head over heals quickly, got engaged in December and married in MAY! Seriously huge kudos to Rachel for planning this amazing day with such a short engagement! They were married May 15, 2011 at Lillian Farms. These are a few of my favorites pictures from the day... I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do :-)
