Growing up, my sister and I had different responsibilities around the house. Anytime we were going to a pot luck or a church picnic, or similar social event during the summer, one of my jobs was to make the deviled eggs. This is interesting because I despised them. Honestly they made me want to gag every time I tried them. Everyone else always loved my recipe though!
Last week I had dinner at Sable with my friend Meghan. Sable has these amazing looking deviled eggs with truffle oil. And, since I recently found out I no longer hate cottage cheese (with tomatoes or other yummy things) I thought I'd see if my taste buds have changed in other areas as well... and honestly I sort of liked them :-) I don't think I'd go so far as to say that they rocked my world or anything... but I'm making progress. Trying new things.
What was the last thing you went out a limb (even a silly minuscule limb) to try?
Okay seriously aren't they so pretty? If I start making these again I'm going to have to step up my game with some icing tips for sure.

ReplyDeleteAbout a week ago I tried cow tongue for the first time (mexicans eat it in tacos) and it wasn't bad surprisingly!
